I am really getting into this running thing. It is very addictive.  I must say though I had a pretty bad run on Sat.  My time was 47:23 which was better than my last 5K (49:42) but I was wanting to run way more than I did.  I ran the course the week previously and did very well but this week was just bad for me.  I realize that runners have bad days and this was just one of them! It was a great feeling and I cannot wait to run again!  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am going to run a 5K in 2 weeks for the Mahomet Library.  Darren and Nate are signed up too! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Nate and I ran tonight (in my new running shoes!) and I did the 2 miles in 30 minutes.  I actually ran the last 5 minutes straight.  That is the longest I have run yet!  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am training by running 1 minute and walking 4 mins.  It has been going well but I wasn't sure I could push it harder - but tonight I did!  Yeah!  It felt great to be out there doing it!  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I also am wearing a size 18 pants and they aren't too tight! There were a few days where I really didn't want to run but did anyway.  :)  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am still not loosing weight.  After I get back from our Missouri trip (we leave tomorrow) I am really going to buckle down and start writing down all that I eat. I am still here I have just been so swamped.  June is going to be the busiest month of our year.  I think we have something every day this month!  It is all good though - we seem to thrive when we are busy as beavers.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I haven't been losing weight per se but I have been jogging/walking.  I thought I would write a bit about what I have been doing. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I think I have mentioned that I have been doing 2.4 miles when I go each time.  I am trying to jog a tenth and walk a tenth.  Recently I have been trying to do 2 tenths at a time and I can do it about one time and then I am wiped out!  I feel like I cannot seem to get on top of it again.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I so did not want to go running today - I was thinking all night about how hard it was going to be today.  I know when I go I feel better but it is just making that first step that is hard.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have still been running with Ashley which has been such a blessing. I KNOW I wouldn't have gone as often if she hadn't been waiting on me!  :) &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So today we went out and went for 5 miles!  I didn't jog every other 10th but I did do a lot of fast walking and MOVING!  I really want to run for a mile or so at a time.  I am frustrated that I am not able to do this.  I need to hear that this is normal and it WILL come with time.  I also am not sure why I am not losing weight?  I mean I am doing WAY more than I ever have.  I haven't really changed my eating style much but I guess I just figured that if I was doing all this working out that I would be bound to lose some weight!  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So this week I jogged/walked Monday (2.4), Thursday(2.4) and Saturday(5). Then Saturday and Sunday we went to Missouri to be with family.  So basically I ate a lot and didn't exercise!  Ugh... I am never going to a buffet again.  I always over eat and never feel good after.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Monday I worked in the garage all day.  I was so sore at night.  I know - not cardiac but definately moving and being active. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today - Tuesday I got up and went running/jogging.  I did the bike path again only this time I jogged every other 10th of a mile.  I only stopped short one time when it was all uphill.  I wish that I could do more than that - but for now that is pushing it.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I need to not get discouraged and keep going.  I do this every time.  I have a bad day or weekend and then decide - oh well and blow it for the rest of the week.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This week is going to be hard as I am leaving to go to a homeschooling practicum for 3 days.  I may be able to get a few days of walking in but we will see. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;However, I already have plans for Saturday morning to walk with my friend Ashley. (Jill and Julie - if you are reading this... I promise one of these trips up I WILL get together with you!!) Anyway, whenever I go away from home it totally throws me off and I can never seem to get caught up again.  I was determined not to let this happen this time so I packed a "workout" bag too!  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tuesday evening I went for a 2 mile walk/jog (mostly walking- I felt very worn out!).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I didn't end up doing ANYTHING Wednesday.  Rest day - right?  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tonight I was so tired after getting home late from my trip.  I had to cut all of the boys hair and water my flowers.  BUT... I did it!  I headed out around 9pm and walked/jogged for 1/2 hour.  I couldn't jog as much as I wanted to and was so discouraged.  Then I stopped, well not really, and thought about how I WAS out there and walking and being active.  That HAS to be better than sitting at home eating in front of the computer right?  After I changed my attitude the walk was so nice.  I just kept at a nice steady pace and was happy with what I could do.  Ugh... so much is mental I just know it!  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Also  several of my family members are setting goals for when we all will see each other again - July 4th (so about 6 weeks).  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here is mine:  I am going to lose 17# - I weigh 227# so that would be 7% of my current weight. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am going to work out 5 days a week. My goal is to do 3 days of hard workout (walking with as much jogging as I can handle) and 2 other days of walking, biking, Curves, etc. (being physical). I actually would like to do something physical EVERY day of the week but I don't want to set too many goals right away. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am going to jog/walk the 5K on July 4th with my totally supportive family and friends cheering me on at the finish line (as they will all get over it WAY before me!). The whole family went walking for 30 mins.  It wasn't a super fast walk but it was good to get out.  My muscles were so sore from Saturday that I knew I needed to make myself get OUT!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tonight, I walked and jogged with Darren.  It was great.  I feel so good right now.  I actually felt like I was going to die WHILE we were jogging but now I feel so proud!  Thanks to my dear hubby for staying with me when he could have cruised way ahead.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Another workout done! It sounded like a lot of fun and so they asked me if I wanted to do a 1/2 marathon with them in Indianapolis in October.  I laughed out loud - literally!  Me run in a race... too funny.  I cannot even run to the end of the block.  Seriously.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well then another friend, Ashley, and I were talking and she said maybe we should do the 5K and start walking together now and really DO this!  She is like a huge ball of encouragment.  Oops... I didn't meant to just call you a ball Ash... bad analogy.  But seriously she emails me all the time to see how I am doing with my walking.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I agreed that we should do this 5K thing!  It is the day before my 40th birthday - so I thought... what better way to bring in my old age.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well, since I said that that has been about it.  I started walking for a few weeks but then I hit some kind of wall.  I have eaten WAY more than I should have and have totally stopped exercising.  Until TODAY that is!!!  I am not sure what was going on in my mind.  I just hate getting out there and moving.  Sitting at home on the computer is WAY too comfortable for me.  I will find every and any excuse I can.  I want to be healthy and fit but I guess I don't really want to work for it?  I am not sure what is going on in my mind.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My friend Ashley emailed me again last night and asked if I wanted to walk today.  I made my mind up that I would do it.  So I laid out my workout clothes and set my alarm.  I got up this morning and got all dressed then noticed that it was raining... I know, I know... but rain - cold - wet... not really for me.  I was thinking all the while that I just wouldn't go.  Ashley calls me to make sure we were still on and I tell her reluctantly that it is raining.  She asked me what I would do if it was raining on the race day?  I laughed and said I would be right there to pick her up.  It was totally the kick in the pants I needed.  I SO would not have gone and yet I DID and it was great. Although I wish the pounds would!!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I was pretty sick for awhile but now I am back!  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I actually lost some weight in all of that sickness so now I need to keep going!  &lt;br /&gt;I am lower than every now!  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I went and bought the above dress at Kohls for Easter and I was so excited that it was a 1x!  Last year I was thinking I might need to go up to a size 3X - so this was exciting to me!  I would love to get out of the plus size area soon!! Since my levels were all bad last time my Dr. wanted to see me again.  I had my labs drawn and couldn't wait to see the results.  Well, my glucose was 100 so down to where she was happy.  I had hoped it would be lower since I was very careful all of that week to not have anything with sugar in it.  I want to see that go down.  It has been borderline for too long.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My potassium was within the normal range and so that was good.  I have been taking a supplement for that and it seems like I almost have to or my levels drop.  Even eating lots of potassium in my diet, I just cannot seem to keep it up.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I also had lost more weight - which is encouraging.  On my scale though I am stillat 220... so I am frustrated that I am not loosing it faster!!!   I am keeping it up though and know that it is just taking its time.  One pound or so a week... slowly but surely!  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I hope that the spring weather gets here soon and I can start getting out more and get moving more. I have been resisting all sweets and it honestly hasn't been too bad so far.  I went to a friend's Pampered Chef party today and they were making Brownies.  Not just any boring brownies but YUMMY ones!  And if you know me, you know I LOVE Brownies!!!  It is probably my favorite treat.  Well actually brownies and ice cream!  :)  Anyway, I resisted.  I was even going to take a piece home to have tomorrow (Sunday) but I didn't!  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I haven't done any exercise though this week and I really want to do that.  My sisters and mom are doing a "contest" to see who can exercise the most.  Of course, I am loosing! I admit it...I am guilty. I have eaten WAY too much over the last few days. I ate and ate Sunday at the Blue and Gold Banquet. I ate today (Fat Tuesday). &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So...tomorrow I am fasting (Ash Wed) and then getting serious again. I always tend to do this. I do so well, loose a bit of weight and then sabotage myself! I am NOT going to do it this time. I think Lent will help me because I can do it more for spiritual reasons, that is easier for me. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I just had to come on here and confess that I have eaten like a pig today and am admitting it. Not easy to do. I want you to all think I am doing great! :) But I will do great tomorrow and the next day! I feel very betrayed by my body.  Here I was taking good care of it and NO results... just very frustrating.  Anyway, I did have two cheat days, Valentine's Day and the Day after.  And then I was back on it.  I haven't lost any weight in two weeks.  I am not sure if that is because I have added back in some carbs or what.  I haven't gained weight - but I am kind of at a stand still right now.  I am hoping to add in some exercise and maybe that will help.  However I threw my back out AGAIN today and so that puts that off a few more weeks.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tomorrow morning I have to go in and get my blood drawn again.  I am praying for GOOD results.  I have been eating VERY good all week and hope that it shows! I am under 220!  I have lost 16# since the New Year!  I haven't been that weight in a LONG time!  Darren also weighed in today at his lowest weight in many, many years too this morning!!! Yeah for us!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I got my lab results back however and they were all BAD!  I was so upset.  About everything that could be wrong was.  And after I have worked SO hard for over 4 weeks!  I was very depressed about this and felt like I wanted to give up and have a BIG BAG of OREOS!!! But... I didn't.  I talked to my mom and she wondered if maybe my body was going through some sort of detox (I have also been very sick)?  I am thinking this might be it and so I am going to continue to "plug" away!  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am not restricting my carbs as much. I have been having things like oatmeal (not instant), plain non-fat yogurt, wheat germ, whole grain rice, etc.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;However, I continue to loose weight and I am hoping that my levels will improve as well. I dread going.  My BP was 160/100.  I know... not good.  The thing is, everything I read about Low Carb eating is how low your BP will go in just a matter of weeks.  So, I was expecting it to be LOW - not HIGH!  Ugh.  I told her I wasn't eating carbs.  She said I really should try to add in fruit.  I actually 3 pieces of apple today!  I just don't get it.  I had my labs done so we will see after that.  Maybe everything else is improving?  :)  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;She didn't raise my meds or anything but I am going to go back in a few more months and see how it goes.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My weight was good though. I am down to what I was when I lost all of that weight last year.  Yeah!  I told her I had gained a lot of it back and she was happy for me.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;She is so encouraging and told me to just move on.  To forget all the weight that I gained and move forward. I do this first thing in the morning. I am excited to see if I have lost more weight. I have been doing good on carbs this week. I am so excited that I have come this far and still going strong.  Today I weighed in at 222# - so total I have lost 13 lbs!  &lt;br /&gt;I am excited!  I wish I could be loosing it faster but I realize I didn't put it on overnight and I won't take it off overnight.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here is the thing tha tgets me though.  I have TOTALLY revamped my eating and yet I am loosing like 4# a week?  I think my body is just so used to being FAT - it isn't sure what to do.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am starting to add in a few carbs here and there and see how I do.  If I am not loosing like I was - I will cut back.  I am only going to do this for one meal a day.  So, last night I had some egg noodles in the chicken noodle soup I made and I had a half of a piece of marble rye bread.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then this morning I had a bowl of oatmeal.  Not instant oatmeal but real oatmeal.  I added a bit of splenda, cinn and cream and it was SO good!  And lots of fiber so that is good.  I am going to try to have oatmeal 1x a week and see if it slows me down.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have to keep telling myself... Just Keep Swimming... like Dory from Finding Nemo! Still hungry but in better spirits.  I also weighed myself this morning and I was down to 225# - so I think I may have to really watch salt in my diet too.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here is what I ate today:  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Breakfast:  2 eggs and a piece of sausage&lt;br /&gt;            Coffe, cream and a bit of Splenda&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Lunch:  A few nibbles of cheese and some peanuts.  I really ate breakfast too late to get a lunch in.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Dinner:  Salad, with cheese and 5 croutons&lt;br /&gt;Steak&lt;br /&gt;Steak sauce mixed with worsteshire sauce&lt;br /&gt;Broccoli&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am feeling like I could use some dessert or something sweet - I think I will go have a diet soda - maybe that will help my cravings!!!! Ugh!  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So pretty good on carbs today - around 23 or so. I weighed this morning and I was at 229#!! Ugh... so I am not loosing any weight and even gained a few pounds. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am so hoping that this is water weight. This is just what happens and then I get so discouraged and give up and EAT and then go back to my "old" way of living. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I just have been working so hard to try to get it off and have been watching every single thing and then THIS!!! UGH!!! I just want it to fall off of me and to be skinny! I just want to quit and go about my life. All of this focusing on it is making me sick.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then today I was teaching the kids and sitting Criss-Cross for over an hour or so and I started to feel like I was going to faint. I had to lay down on the floor. Darren took my BP and it was like 170/100. Which is horrible. Especially since I am on 2 meds for that very thing! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And all of the books I am reading say that my BP should come WAY down in just a few weeks. In fact to be careful because it often drops so low in people that they start having too low blood pressure and have to go off their meds... SO not the case for me! Again... double UGH! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tonight the family had Papa John's Pizza and I so was going to have a piece. I just wanted it and wanted to be like... whatever... who cares! But... I didn't. It was Yummy and very healthy for you!!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Lemon-Pepper Cod with Rosemary&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Fresh or Frozen Cod (thawed)&lt;br /&gt;Fresh Rosemary&lt;br /&gt;Lemon-pepper seasoning or fresh pepper and real lemon&lt;br /&gt;EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil)&lt;br /&gt;Tin Foil&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Take a piece of tin foil and put a bit of olive oil on it.  Put a bit of rosemary on the center of the foil and then lay the piece of thawed cod on top of it.  Then sprinkle a bit of lemon-pepper seasoning on the cod or use pepper and fresh lemon.   (I honestly think the lemon-pepper seasoning was too salty and so next time I will go fresh ground pepper with fresh lemon.) &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_oEZzL_9UeJY/SXFwu6M4bLI/AAAAAAAABbs/k9-u8T8S8r8/s1600-h/cod+2.jpg"&gt;&lt;img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 274px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_oEZzL_9UeJY/SXFwu6M4bLI/AAAAAAAABbs/k9-u8T8S8r8/s320/cod+2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5292134988336622770" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then add a bit more rosemary and sliced tomatoes.  I used Roma tomatoes as they make nice small slices that fit perfectly on top of the cod.  Then you can drizzle a bit more olive oil if you would like although I don't think it really needs it. Overall it has gone really well.  I haven't really cheated in those 2 weeks, except that I took one bite of gingerbread bagel from Panera and accidentaly took a bite of Kiera's taco tonight (I thought it was a low carb tortialla).  I actually had the first wheat in 2 weeks - I had a low carb tortilla - it was SO good!  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today was weigh-in day and I am 227#.  So only down 1# this week.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I know I should be frustrated but I am ok.   I am following the plan and sticking to it and so I AM going to loose the weight.  I also started my period yesterday so I am thinking that is why I didn't have a bigger loss this week.  Now, if I don't loose again next week I will be a little more than discouraged! I know... not much but hey, normally I would have looked at the exercise room as I walked past and felt fat and guilty. This time I still felt fat but went right in and worked out! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Darren asked me if I was jogging or walking or what later and he said he saw some "jiggling" going on from where he could see! I about kicked him... "jiggling"! Not what I wanted to hear at all! But hey... I was the one changing that - right?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Monday - Day 11 - We ate in the hotel lobby. Ugh... not much to choose from. I had eggs and sausage - which I am sure had additive and sugar in them. We went to the children's museum and had a great time. I took along some nuts to eat at the museum as I couldn't eat the food there. We ate dinner at Applebee's where I had a great blackened chicken salad. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tuesday - Day 12 - I am feeling very discouraged today and very fat. I just wonder if I should give up and be content with being fat. I feel like I have been on this roller coaster forever and just want the ride to be over. I watched Oprah last night (the reruns) and there was a guy on there from the Biggest Looser (one of the older season - I think). Anyway - he gained back a lot of his weight. It was so sad and depressing to watch. Darren said - that is it. It is hard to keep it off. Darren has lost huge amounts of weight as I have and we always seem to pack it back on. It is just hard to maintain. I know I will continue - I just hate always thinking about food. Like what to eat, what to not eat, etc... I just wish we didn't have to eat. I have such a love-hate relationship with food. I am going to go out with my friend Tasha in a few minutes to go have a drink (I will be drinking diet soda - of course!) she is the one who got me to do the whole Biggest Looser thing with her last year and it was so great to have someone to do it with. I think I need that peer pressure more than anything. I think it is harder when you are at home than running around.  I feel better today though - almost no headache and not so sluggish feeling.  Maybe the sugar addiction is wearing off.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I had scrambled eggs with sausage this morning.  Coffe with cream. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For lunch I had cheese, pepperoni's and nuts.  I bought this YUMMY cheese at County Market.  It was WAY expensive but I thought I could splurge on something I can actually eat - since I have been buying junk... right?  It is Chipolte Cranberry! It is slightly spicey - yummy.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have been drinking my water today and peeing lots.  I didn't do so well with that yesterday.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have taken out the Cod from the freezer so that it could thaw for tonight. I am going to make a broiled fish dinner.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Last night I made mashed cauliflower.  You take a head of cauliflower and boil it until it is soft.  Then put in in mixer and add a bit of butter and cream.  It tastes a lot like mashed potatoes.  It is a great way to get veggies into your family and it is better than a potato for you. I am very excited and I feel that the weight I have lost will help me to continue on.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I think I could have lost more if I had worked out more.  I need to commit to working out 3 times a week.  I am paying for that Curves membership - I should really use it!  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I felt pretty yucky this morning but once I ate, I felt better.  I know that the sugar addiction is very strong in me and it takes me several weeks to get it out of my system.  Going NO SUGAR is harder for me than I want it to be.  It just goes to show how much sugars I was eating in the past.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So for me right now I am trying to only eat 20 carbs a day.  I know this is extreme but it is only for two weeks and then I get to add a few in at a time.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And right now - nothing tastes as good as skinnier is feeling!  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;That really hits me.  I whine and cry that I am fat but yet, I pile in those handfuls of Oreos.  Do those Oreos really taste that good. Notice the double chin?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have decided to start a new blog for my weight loss. I know everyone is probably sick of hearing about my dieting and loosing weight but it helps me to write about it regularly. So, I thought this should just have a blog of its very own. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have struggled with my weight since I was in college. I would say I was skinny as a child and very healthy but something happened in college. I know I just ate and ate whatever I wanted with not much thought. I also became a vegetarian in college but didn't do it right. I just ate a whole lot more pasta, which is NOT good for me. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have had high blood pressure since after Nathaniel was born and I am currently on 2 medications for it. I was told that if I just lost a few pounds it would get better but it hasn't. I even lost over 40# one time and it didn't change it. Now, does that mean that it won't if I get down to my ideal weight - I don't know as I have not been down that low since high school. I also am labeled pre-diabetic but I am guessing I am probably more diabetic than I care to know. I don't want to die, I want to live an energetic, healthy life. I want to see my grandchildren and be able to "do" things with them. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Also... this year I am turning 40 and I don't want to hit 40 - unfit, heavy and out of shape! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have to stop it and I have to do it NOW! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As of January 1st of this year - I weighed in at 235#. (This part is the really hard part. I don't like to talk about my weight - let alone write about it in a public forum but maybe that is what I need - a little embarrassment!) &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I read the book the&lt;a href="http:http://www.amazon.com/Neris-Indias-Idiot-Proof-Diet-Weight-Loss/dp/0446508764/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&amp;qid=1231540963&amp;sr=1-8//"&gt; Neris and India's Idiot-Proof Diet: A Weight-Loss Plan for Real Women&lt;/a&gt; and it just spoke to me. I know I am a carb lover and I know my sugars are very high. I decided to choose their recommended diet. Now, I know that any diet out there may work. I just believe that it is sticking to it and tweaking it to work for you! I am not saying this diet is great for everyone but I just picked one and thought I would go for it. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It is a high protein, low carb diet. I know I am going to hear all sorts of bad things about this diet, and I have heard them, but I am doing this one and it has got to be healthier than the diet of soda, cookies and candy that I was living on before. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I went grocery shopping for the first time yesterday and filled my cart with tons of veggies, fruit, dairy and fresh meats. It felt so good go be buying good food and no junk! I did buy pasta and rice and the sort for the kids, but only whole wheat and brown. I am not having everyone in the house do this diet with me, but I am having everyone eat healthier all around. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I look forward to hearing about your goals and your accomplishments as we work side-by-side on our goals in 2009!
